for feminine leadership

Join us for a discussion focused on how we as a community can help girls discover the power of their voices, so they can rise and become the confident, inclusive leaders that our world needs now.
Girls from all over the country are invited to join us for a deeply impactful day. The day promotes girls' human rights, highlights gender inequalities and addresses forms of discrimination and abuse suffered by girls around the world. The Power of Girlhood has hosted the event for the last 7 years. The forums are a way to be a foundation for local organizations concerned with girls’ issues, such as girls’ education, media portrayal, sex trafficking, street harassment, and other Day-related topics, to share their message. This year’s theme is: My Voice, Our Equal Future! We will have special guests and performances but most of all amplification of the voice and matters of the heart of girls.

What is International Day of the Girl?

Since 2012, The United Nations has deemed October 11th as International Day of the Girl. The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights.
About the Power of Girlhood:
We are a leadership organization for girls 8-18 that focuses on character, leadership and creativity for the betterment of the girl and her community. A girl in her power can change the world, a collective of girls can create a new one!
